Safeguarding at Shift.ms

Shift.ms is committed to safeguarding the well-being of all members, employees and volunteers who are involved in or affected by our work.
Fundraising

The activities carried out by Shift.ms will bring a range of employees and volunteers in to contact with people who are at risk of harm. This contact may happen:

  • face to face
  • on the telephone
  • during volunteering and fundraising
  • on the Website as part of the online forum
  • on social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube.

All children and adults, regardless of age, disability, gender, racial heritage, religious belief, sexual orientation or identity, have the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse and the right to be treated with respect and dignity.

Here is our handy downloadable guide on how we are Safeguarding our members.

How do I report something I think might be abuse?

It is important that vulnerable adults are protected from abuse. All complaints, allegations or suspicions will be taken seriously.

If you are worried or have concerns about a member of www.shift.ms, please contact us at safeguarding@shift.ms.

You will be contacted within 24 hours of submitting your concern with how we will move forward with your concern.

We are not a crisis service. We can’t guarantee an immediate response. This does not mean no one cares. Call your emergency services if you, or someone you know, is in immediate danger.
